Gaelic Roots

Unlike many Irish-Americans, I only recently learned about my Gaelic heritage. However, there is no doubt that the culture and experiences of my Irish ancestors painted the lives of their descendants with splashes of orange and green.

Currently, my research extends back six generations to my great-great-great-grandparents Oliver and Jane Howe of County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland and Edward Hayden of Dublin, Ireland.  The details of their lives have been extracted both from public records and from correspondence (1880-1900).
