Having found the existing Thorn & Thorne mailing lists for family interest worldwide fail to focus on the Thorn(e) family interests of the UK; I have set up separate mailing lists for use on UK interests only. Mailing Lists - UK only.

Headlines during May 2002

We have now been able to join up the Thorn families at Buckland with those in Weedon, enabling us to take the family back to about 1684.

The site counter has now recorded over 1,200 hits.

Headlines during January 2002

Work has continued on checking the Thorn family information provided by Janet Avarne. I am still trying to make the connection between my family in Buckland with that from Weedon.

15 December 2002 - Finished adding all the War Poems.
10 November 2002 - Descendant files updated and some War Poems added.
13 August 2002 - Descendant files updated and other Thorn families added.
11 August 2002 - Population studies has been performed using the census of Great Britain in 1881 and the Buckinghamshire census of 1891 for the names Thorn, Thorne and variants.
30 May 2002 - Links to Thorn & Thorne mailing lists and message boards have been added. Plus, extensive updates to the files and a complete restructuring of the site.
16 May 2002 - Other Thorn families added.
