My wife is descended from the Thorn[e]s of Aylesbury [so far].
We have only got back as far as Rosannah Thorn who had a child William
Tomlin Thorn in 1850. If we get back further we look forward to linking
into one of your "trees".

Great website! Family legend has our branch of the Thorn's in New
Jersey since before 1700. So far I've only traced us back to the early
1800's. We are from England originally, but where or when I have no idea.
For what it's worth, many of us are still Episcopalian (Anglican
Communion).

My Grandfather, Allin (Allen) Andrew was from England. His Father's
name was Robert and his mother's name was Erna (emma) Thorn. She was born
in Mattron (sp). I would like to find out more. Like you, we know very
little of our relatives. It would be nice if we are connected in some way,
but I guess that would be too easy. My husband and I live in Pepperell,
Massachusetts. Thank you for your nice website.

with the Thorn side of my family, only to 1901 census in London. The last
name that I have is Charles Edward Thorn, born either Finchingfield, Essex

Looks like you have done a lot of work on this. I am just starting to
investigate my surname. I don't know a lot about my kin- they are not very
close here in Arizona. My grandfather (Woodrow Wilson Thorn) had 7 or 8
brothers. They were mostly cowboys and cattlemen. Only the good Lord knows
how many kids they all sired.

The rumour in our branch of the Thorn family, is that we originate in
England. It is also whispered, that someone in the family has the line
clear back to England. Though, as of yet, we have not found that person.
