(click for chart showing her relationship to us)

Birthday: ca. 1868 Birthplace: Missouri
Mother: Sibilla Therese Breynck* (-4G) Father: Christoph G. Vossler* (-4G)
Sex/Fam. Grp.: female / Vossler Died:  ca. 14 Mar. 1874 in St. Louis

*marks my direct-line ancestors. The (-3G), etc., after the names indicates the number of generations before Erven Thoma.

Her siblings are: Johanna (b. 4 Aug. 1853 in Duesseldorf), Cecilia (b. ca. 1857), Theresia (b. ca. 1860), Christopher (b. ca. 1862), John (b. ca. 1864), and Theodor (b. 1866). All were born before her; Sophia was apparently the last child.

The St. Louis City Directories of 1868 and 1869 do not list her father's name. Apparently the family was living elsewhere, probably in St. Clair County, IL.

She is listed in the 1870 Illinois Census--St. Clair County, O'Fallon P. O., Township 2, p. 32 with her parents and siblings. She is 2 years old at the time.

The St. Louis City Directory for 1874 lists her father, a tailor, living at 1929 N. 16th St.

She was buried in section 8, row 5, lot A, grave 19 at Calvary Cemetery in the northern part of St. Louis.  Siblings and parents are in a different part of the same cemetery. Her age at death makes it obvious that she never married or had children.
