Present Location (from 1971): 11952 Bellefontaine Rd. in Bellefontaine NeighborsIn 1870 the church purchased land and established the Bethany Cemetery at St. Charles Rock Rd. and Lucas & Hunt Rd. in St. Louis County, MO. Around 1971 Bethany Church merged with Peace United Christian Church, moved to the present address and renamed the church Bethany-Peace United Church of Christ.
The church also had an elementary school for some years.
Jacob Gruen and Regina Zimmermann got married at this church on 25 Sept. 1869. The pastor at the time was Charles F. Stark, the first minister of the church.
Charles F. Stark was minister at Bethany Evang. Church from 1867-77. M. Herberg was a minister there in 1878. L. Austmann was minister from 1878 to 1885. J. Kramer from 1885 to 1887. H. F. Deters from 1887 to 1900. P. Brueckner from 1900 to 1910. Frederick H. Krafft from 1911 to 1937. Walter A.Scheer from 1938 to 1963. E. W. Luehrman from 1953-55. Charles L. Stevens from 1957-61. Robert C. Stout from 1963-66. Eugene F. Ostendorf 1966-?
