This cemetery was established by Bethania (Bethany) Evangelical Protestant Church in 1870--land was purchased at Lucas & Hunt Rd. and St. Charles Rock Rd. Records are also in the St. Louis County Library.
The cemetery is located in north St. Louis County, MO. In the 1897 listing of St. Louis Cemeteries, Bethania is listed on Easton Ave., 7 miles from the city, with an office at 1138 N. 6th. The latitude is 38° 40' 52" N (38.68111 decimal) and longitude 90° 17' 58" W (-90.29944 decimal). This is between the communities of Pagedale and Wellston; between St. Charles Rock Rd., Lucas-Hunt Rd., Norfolk-Southern RR, and Southern Pacific RR Spur 180. Bethany Cemetery is now administered by St. Peter's Cemetery.
