    Married Theresia (Theresa) Hecker before 1820 in N. Rhineland, Prussia, perhaps in the town of Wesel.

    Son Friedrich Vossler (-4G) was born ca. 1820 in N. Rhineland, Prussia. Son Christoph Vossler (-4G) was born ca. 1825 in N. Rhineland, Prussia. Son Michel Vossler (-4G) was born ca. 1830 in N. Rhineland, Prussia.

    Jacob and his wife are mentioned in the civil marriage record of his son Christoph Gottfried* to Sibilla Theresia Breynck* (-4G) on 3 Sep. 1852 in Duesseldorf, N. Rheinland, Prussia.

    His wife and some of his children are discovered immigrating to the U.S., arriving 01 May 1854 in New Orleans. I do not know if there were other children besides the ones listed above. I do not know when he immigrated.

    Jacob died in Oct. 1859 in St. Louis, MO. His probabte papers are on file in the MO Archives. At first his widow was the administrator of his estate. In March 1861 his son Friedrich became the administrator.

    His son Frederick (Friedrich) (-4G) died on 02 Sep. 1904 in St. Louis. His son Christoph (-4G) died on 03 Feb. 1881 in St. Louis and his son Michael (Michel) (-4G) died ca. Oct. 1879 in St. Louis.

    I do not know if there was a son named Jacob, but certainly not at the time of the father's death.
