Civil War Pension papers of Levi Voyles lists him as son with this date of
birth.
David G. Voils, listed as, the person to whom, Alma Cummings was bound out from
Warrick County Orphanage, on 7 March 1892. Alma is first listed in the Warrick
County Orphans Home Book in December 1886. Warrick Co., IN Orphans Home records
lists a May Commons as the mother of Wesley Commons and Alma Commons. Surname
also listed as Camens and Cummings. Alma listed John Cummings as her father on
her second marriage record. She listed the Voyles' as her parents for her first
marriage.
Note:
When Edward J. Parr married Alma C. Voyles, this was his second marriage. There
are teenage children living in the home on the 1920 census.
Both David and Hannah's obituaries list an adopted daughter Alma Voyles as a
survivor.
