Arrived New York, 1 May 1852 aboard Brk. Beejapore, note departed 7 April 1852,
Liverpool
Family history relates that when this family was on board ship, in transit to
America, about 3 days before docking in New York, their infant died. Catherine
Froeschle kept her child's death a secret, from the crew, so the infant would
not be buried at sea.
The ship "Beejapore" lists the Froseschle family as follows:
F. Froseschle 36 M
Cath " 35 F
Cath " 13 F
Gottleib " 11 M
Jacob " 8 M
George " 6 M
Ann Mary " 3 F
Margrat " 8 (months) infant F

186, in Spencer Co., IN, does not list his children. However, it states that
Jacob F. Freshley is his oldest son. And lists two grandchildren; Charly Baumen
and Catherine Baumen. (The last name may be Bowman, it is hard to decipher.) His
will was made 29 December 1865 and probated 19 February 1866.
Anna Mary Froschle is buried in Zoar Cemetery Spencer Co., IN.
The 8 month old infant Margrat must have died when the family was three days out
of the port of New York. Margrat is not found listed with the family in any census
and is not buried in the Zoar Cemetery with the rest of the family.
