GEORGE W. SUTTON: (3) George W. Sutton and Eva Mae
Campbell Sutton are my paternal grandparents. They were in their fifties when they
adopted Dad. George died when Dad was a child. Grandma Sutton lived with
us. Grandma would rock us and read stories like Grimm's Fairy Tales to us.
She was a woman of great patience and love. When I was little, she would
stand me on a chair beside the stove to stir the gravy. She made silver
dollar pancakes for us, and taught me to knit and crochet when I was 5
years old. When I was a little girl, while it was raining, one day, she taught me to make mud pies.
To her it was OK to play in the rain and get all wet. Updated 24 June 2007 Contact Virginia L. Aldridge
