The depositions, in the lawsuit over Isaac Beeler's estate, listed John Beeler's death as about 1840 and stated he had no living heirs. When in fact the children of John Beeler and Hannah Vale Beeler are living, Joseph Beeler is living in Decatur Co., IA in 1870 and does not return to Van Buren Co., IA until 1875. His brother Jacob is alive, I have not located him on the 1870 census as yet. From the Deposition of William H. Newton: found in court records in Lee Co., IA. Listed the deceased children of Isaac Beeler and states William Beeler as having the only heirs to survive him.
The deposition of Nancy Beeler Newton (William's wife) gives the exact same data. The depositions of Martha Beeler Seeley and Eli Seeley give the exact same data.

*Robert Mc Keehan's info listed above [unsourced]. However, I have found that Robert has been correct on the data on this family. I do not know who his source was for the children of John and Hannah, but I expect he had one I have not found. There are still descendant of this couple living in Van Buren Co., IA.
