"William Douglas (1708 - 1798)
William Douglas was an Episcopal minister and tutor of Thomas Jefferson. He served as Rector of St. James - Northam Parish in Goochland county form 1750 - 1777, when he moved to Louisa County, where he performed ministerial duties in Louisa and surrounding counties until 1797. He died in 1798."
