Notes

Amos Benjamin Mason

He was a shoemaker.

Frank Ellsworth Mason

His Name could be Francis instead of Frank, and Elsworth in stead of Ellsworth because my grandfather was evidently his name sake, but this is the way the family bible has it

Alvarado Vorhis

Kate was Catholic and evidently would not get the divorce, so Vorhis filed for the divorce saying they separated on 3 Feb 1909 and have not lived together since. Claims cruel and inhuman treatment, was vile and used abusive language calling him "damn shit Ass" and a damn old fool. The devorce did not go through as first written, so it was submitted again with hand writting added that said the defendant committed adultery with parties unknown in the past 30 days.
Joan and I think this was claimed to make a better case, since she would not divorce him. (written by Shirley Mason Higham)
