William H. Mason

Wm was a painter and paper hanger by trade.

Written in notes of Shirley Higham: " From newspaper article of data transpiring before his death, and cemetry information, I don't know if he really meant to take his own life, but it does sound like he was a very unhappy man. When I read the article, I had mixed emotions. Sadness and love for him, but happy to find and learn much about his family I had not known."


Kate E. Biglow

Kate is listed on the 1900 Census and Newspoaper account of her husband death as Catherine, but in Family bible and Applications of marriage and on tombstone it is Kate E. or Katie. Her signature was Kate on 2nd marriage application. In Family bible which it looks like William filled out in several places it is
Katie E. Bigelow and another place in Bible "Biglow". Newspaper has Biglow. Marriage application also has father as Bigelow.
First and third marriage recorded in family Bible. Second marriage and Divorce found hall of records State of Indiana, Kosciusko Co.

From an admission slip to Logansport State Hospital Division of Mental Health R.R. 2 Box 38, Logansport, In 46947-9699, we obtained the following information: no. 8160 Name: Catherine Mickey Age: 75 color: white.  Sex: female.  County: Koscuisko. Admitted: Aug 5, 1924. Date of birth: July 3, 1850 .  Civil condition: widow.  Previous committals: none.   Residence: Syracuse, Ind. Vocation: house-keeping.  Time in State: 20 years.  Education: com school.  Birthplace: Quebec, Can. Guardian: Frank E. Mason (son.).  Kindred: Murray Mason -- Katherine Hanafin in case of death call Smith and Hood Columbia City, Ind. (We aren't sure who Katherin Hanafin is, but Kate did have a friend named Katherine who visited Frank Mason in California.  Their was some discussion with Bona Mason, who met her, that Katherine may be related because Bona's husband Burr Mason, knew her as Aunt Katherine.   Our research has not made sense of this.)
Died - June 2, 1926. Bronche Pneumonia.


Benjamin Eli Burr

Benjamin Eli was engaged in the wholesale fish business at Newark, N.J. In politics he was a Democrat, in religion a Presbyterian. He is buried in the Fairmount Cemetary, but they cannot find his record.
Most of these records are from "The Burr Family" by Todd. Census's 1860, 1880 Newark, Essex Co. New Jersey also source of info, but all concurs with book "The Burr Family" by Todd.


Anna Margaretta Aschenbach

Ships passenger list's her as Anna Margretta immagrating with family at 1 year of age in 1836. On Baptism Anna Margaretha
In New Jersey, she must have adjusted her name to Margaret as found on 1850 census etc.
Godmother: Miss (maid) Anna Margarethe Oschmann.


Mary E. Burr

In a letter from cousin Honey Townley Swain only 9 of the 17 children lived to adulthood. If this is true Mary E. is one that died before adulthood.


George V. Burr

Died in Infancy .


Madison Herbert Burr

died in infancy some time between 1870 and 1876. a possible twin to Hannah
