William Nathaniel Mason

Mason Family bible gives birth date and full name
Death Certificate says Walter, but 2 newspaper articles say William.(Columbia City) Newspaper artical says he was married 7 months at time of death & Printer by Trade, but death certificate has machinist. Both say Died of Obstruction of the bowels. Death Certificate has him 1 yr older, but this info had to be given to them by his wife of 7 months, because it has parents unknown. Buried at Grace Lawn Cemetary, Elkhart, Ind I believe since his father was in trouble with law at time of death and suicide, William N. could have changed his name Walter D. Rec'd 27 Aug 1990, Cemetary plot info from Grace Lawn Elkhart, IN

Name and birth date in family bible. Bible has added note indicating he was born in PA. 1860 census Newton New Jersey says New York.
He was Baptized at St. James Church, Chicago, 10-Nov-1877, and is in the household of Nancy Young in the 1900 census for Huntington, Whiley Co., Indiana


Charles John Roe

In life, he was known as John Charles Roe, or John Roe. It was only after his death when his birth certificate was sent for that it was found that his name was Charles John Roe.
