2Records of Frederick Perez Bimbler. "Frederick Michael Bimbler was born April 9, 1865 was a plumber and elected chief of the fire department of Bradley Beach, NJ. They lived on the corner of Lorraine and Madison in Bradley Beach. He died December 26, 1908, from, family legend tells it, cirrhosis of the liver, though paralysis was reported in his obituary. This is interesting in that his widow, my great grandmother, Laura Bell, became very active in the Ladies Temperance Union. We believe she was either a founder and/or leader of that cause for New Jersey or locally for the area. To date, the town of Ocean Grove, New Jersey remains a dry town due to her work, both with the Union and the Methodist Church, which owns all the land comprising Ocean Grove. I was just there -- it was a bear to get a drink. My great grandparents are buried at the Glenwood Cemetary in West Long Branch New Jersey. I visited there and can send pictures of the head and foot stones. Laura Bell died in the first half, we believe, of 1932." Information recieve via email 19 Jul 2000.

"Frederick Watson Bimbler, my grandfather born June 23, 1888, first married Nellie Bimbler. They divorced childless sometime following the Crash of 1929. We believe that he became involved with my grandmother, Josephine Lenny McKeen (born August 9, 1905 in Wycogomoch, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia), sometime in the early to mid 30s, when she was his secretary. They married, I believe, New Year's day 1939, in Miami, Florida. My grandfather had been a very successful real estate developer and speculator in New Jersey. There is a neighborhood, immediately appurtnenant to the city of Asbury Park, in Ocean Township, called Colonial Terrace, which my grandfather built from about 1924 to the early 30s. In Colonial Terrace is Bimbler Blvd. I was just looking at houses there this weekend. The neighborhood continues to be referred to as Colonial Terrace and is considered by residents of Ocean Township to be one of the five most prestigious neighborhoods to live in there. The houses I saw for sale were in the $300,000 range, not bad considering they originally sold for around 12,000 to 15,000 originally. After the crash, my grandfather was able to continue his business, but not in the manner in which he was accustomed. There were very lean times, but he managed to keep his good reputation and pay all debts associated with his business before moving to Miami, with my grandmother prior to their wedding. Once in Florida, my grandfather started up developing North Miami Beach after World War II and became successful again. My grandfather died, on January 2, 1958, at age 69. My grandmother lived to 93 years old and died on September 14, 1998." Information from email dated 17 Jul 2000.
