You know, while gathering "the facts" such as Immigration Paperwork, Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates, Census Reports and Naturalization Information is vital to any genealogical research, I feel the most important part of any research is to try and get to know your ancestors the best you can. What were they like? What kind of personality did they have? What did they look like? Do I have any of their traits? Answers to questions like these are just as vital in any research.
I personally love to hear stories. Not too long ago I had a very lengthly and wonderful telephone conversation with Ceil, the daughter of my father's first cousin Valentine. She knew my grandmother's siblings, and I really enjoyed hearing about them. Just listening to what she had to say about them reminded me so much of how my grandmother used to be and the things she used to say. I also love those old photographs. We do not have many, but we have been blessed with quite a few good ones, as you will see when you view our old photo albums.
So on my site you will not only read about "the facts" but you will also get to know our ancestors through all of our memories. What better way to bring a family together. Sit back and enjoy, and we hope to see you back again real soon!
