John Augustine Moray was a preacher in southern Michigan for what is now knows as the United Methodist Church.  All of the churches he cared for were poor working folks these congregations were unable to support a man with a family.  Therefore, Rev. Morey developed several businesses to help support his family.  According to family legend, he would study the communities in which he lived.  When he figured out what the people needed he would then provide the communtity with that service.  Some of the side businesses he ran were photography and the making of postcards, he was an optometrist and fitted and sold glasses, he invented, produced, marketed and sold Catarrh Remedy.  He claimed the recipe for the remedy came to him from God in a dream.  The following documents are of the last remaining hand bill and business card that he used for this business.
