Within this site you will find much information regarding the List surname and my own family roots. Whilst my own roots are English, going back to the 16th century thus far, those interested in the name will find information relating to Lists other than in England, paticularly in West Virginia, America, Canada and the European Continent.

The Data Base button will take you, essentially, to a search page, where you can search on any name or phrase. From time to time there may be other small data bases here but the main base I keep has over 15,000 List events and is much too large for this site. If you need something in particular, please let me know and I will see what I can do to help.

The Origins button will take you to a short text on my findings thus far where it relates to the name of List. By far from complete it does help us in the right direction to discover our roots. I welcome any comment on this, or indeed any part of this site.

The DNA Project button takes you to something really new and exciting. In it's infancy at the moment but I am working on discovering the origins of our line using DNA, in particular the Y Chromosome which traces the male line. I welcome any male who bears the surname LIST or any of it's many mutations, to join in this project.
