THE MORNING POST FEBRUARY 5 1913

THE MILITANT SUFFRAGISTS

MR. LLOYD GEORGE DECLINES TO RECEIVE ANOTHER DEPUTATION

Mr Lloyd George has replied to Mrs. Drummond informing her that he declines to receive another deputation. He points out that he offered to meet representatives of the Women's Social and Political Union on the morning after the final decision on the Franchise Bill had been taken, and that instead of accepting the invitation the members of the Union went to the House of Commons and created a disturbance, In these circumstances, he says, he cannot undertake to receive another deputation. Mrs. Drummond, in reply, says she is "amazed" by the terms of Mr. Lloyd George's letter, and renews her request for a public interview "for the purpose of discussing the prospects of Woman Suffrage."
