NOTE: According to her death certificate, Rose Ann (Rosie) McAllister was 26 when she died on December 8, 1911. The cause of her death was tuberculosis and heart failure. She had been sick for two years. She was the daughter of James McAllister and Lucy Margaret Hennessy. Rose was a life long resident of Wolfe Island.
This post card was sent on the day of her death. It says:
Poor Rose McAllister died this morning at 5 o’clock and is to be buried on Sunday at 3 o’clock. This is terable for her poor mother Aunt Maggie.
