Techer was Patrick Perdue who lived at the end of the village where now Jimmy and Julia Hulton live. He taught all eight grades for all the years I went to school. He was a good teacher and always came out at recess to play ball with the students. He left the island the year I finished grade eight in 1945. This was a very nice school at the time. It had a high rounded ceiling and lots of large windows.
