1. Thomas Davis
Mary Davis Maketh Oath and saith, that she
verily believes
that Thomas Davis late of
having a will; that she will exhibit or cause to be
exhibited into the Registry of the Surro-
gate Court for the Midland District on or before the Third
day of January
next ensuing, a just, true, and perfect inventory of all
and singular the goods, chattels and cre-
dits of the said
Thomas Davis, deceased; that she will pay all the
debts of the deceased, as far as the goods shall extend,
and the law shall bind her; that
she will well and truly administer according to law, and
further that she will make
or cause to be made, a true and just account of her
Administration of the personal estate
of the deceased, when she shall be lawfully called upon so to do.

Province, for which Sum well and
truly to be paid unto the said Sir Porigrine
Maitland his certain
Attorney, Heirs, Executors,
Administrators and successors in office, we bind ourselves jointly
and severally, each for himself and each for he whole,
and our and each of our Heirs, Execu-
tors and
Administrators firmly by these presents; Sealed with our Seals, and dated the
Third
Day of August in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and twenty one and in the second year of His Majesty’s
Reign.
The Condition of this
Obligation is such, that if the within bounden Mary Davis
administratrix of
all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of Thomas Davis
deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect
inventory of al and singular the
goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, which
have or shall come into the hands, posses-
sion or knowledge
of her the said Mary Davis
or into the hands and possession of any other person or
persons for her and the same so
made, do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into t he
registry of the
for the Midland District, on or before the Third day of
January next
ensuing, and the same goods, chattels, and credits, and all
other the goods, chattels and credits
of the said deceased, at the time of his death, which at
any time after shall come into the
hands or possession
of the said Mary Davis.
or into the hands and possession of any other person or
persons for her do well and
truly administer according to law, and further do make or
cause to be made, a true and just
account of her said Administration, at or before the third
day of February
and the rest and residue of the said goods, chattels and
credits, which shall be found remain-
ing upon the said
Administrators account, the same being first examined and allowed by the
judge of the court, for the time being, shall deliver and
pay unto such person or persons respect-
tively, as the said
judge by his decree or sentence, conformably to the provisions in a certain Act
of Parliament, entitled, “An act for the better settling
intestate estates”, and passed in the
twenty second and twenty-third year of the reign of
Charles11 and also in a certain Act passed
in the first year of King James 11 contained, shall
limit and appoint, and if it shall hereafter ap-
pear, that any last will or testament was made by the
deceased, and the executor or executors
therein named do exhibit the same unto the said Court, making
request to have it allowed and
approved accordingly, if the said Mary Davis
within bounden, being thereunto required, do render an
deliver the said Letters of Adminitra-
tion (approbation
of such testament being first had and made) in the said court then this oblige-
tion to be void and
of no effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.
