Jones Asahel KIES - his last Will - July 11, 1813 In the name of God Amen - I Asahel Kies of Lansdowne County of Leeds - Calling to mind the mortality of this Body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Die - and being now in a very Low and uncertain State of Health, altho in sound mind and clear of apprehension thanks be to God - I do Ordain this my Last will and Testament - namely first of all I Earnestly Recommend my soul in to the hand of God who gave it, and my Body to be Intered in the Earth in a Christian manner - - as to my wordly substance that it has pleased god to Bless me with, I do Ordain, will and dispose of the same in the following Manner - first I will & Bequeath to my well and Truly beloved wife Sarah Kies a good and comfortable support During her natural Life - makeing of her to gether with Henry Trickey - Administers of my Estate - Disposing of the Land Eaquilly among my sons as they come of age, and Endevering to do Justice also among my Daughters - when of age - I also appoint the said H.
