WEDDINGS
BELLRINGER-ORR
A very pretty wedding was solemnized at eleven o’clock on Monday morning June 4, in St. Paul’s Church, when Rev. A. Teskey united in marriage Dorothy Maude, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bellringer, Kingston and Howard Louis Orr, son of Mrs. Stirling Orr, Simcoe Island, and the late Mr. Orr. The bride who was given in marriage by her father, entered the church to the strains of the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin, played by Miss Baker, and was becomingly attired in her wedding gown of blue chiffon, made on long semi-fitted lines with accessories to match and carried an old fashioned bouquet. Miss Cecelia Compeau, her only bridesmaid, was gowned in rosewood crepe with accessories to match and carried an old fashioned bouquet. Mr. Robert Orr, brother of the groom, assisted as best man. The bride’s mother was gowned in royal blue crepe and the groom’s mother was gowned in navy georgette.
Following the ceremony a wedding luncheon was served at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. F.J. Campbell, after which the happy couple left on a motor trip to Ottawa.
