Amherst Island Wedding
Miss Alma J Patterson married to James Kilpatrick
A pretty church wedding took place on Monday afternoon, in St Paul's Presbyterian church, Amherst Island, when Miss Alma J Patterson, daughter of the late Maj Patterson, and Mrs Patterson, was married to James Kilpatrick, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Robert Kilpatrick, of Amherst Island. The ceremony was performed by Rev James Cumberland, M.A. The bride, who was given away by her brother, S Patterson, wore a charming gown of white silk, collienne, over taffeta. With this was worn a long tulle veil, arranged with orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses, tied with long white streamers. Her attendant was Miss Jennie Filson, who was gowned in white organdie with lace trimming, wearing a white hat and pink roses and carrying a bouquet of pink carnations. Arthur Kilpatrick, brother of the groom, was best man. The groom's gift to the bride was a pendant of diamonds and pearls, to the bridesmaid a pearl pendant, and to the best man a tie pin. The church was most artistically decorated with festoons of marguerites and bunches of lilacs, and clusters of palms and cut flowers decorated the alter. The wedding march was played by Mrs James Cumberland. After the ceremony the guests, which included only the relatives of the bride and groom, drove to the home of the birds mother, where a very dainty breakfast was served. Immediately after lunch, Mr and Mrs Kilpatrick took the steamer Alexandria for Montreal and Quebec. The bride's going away dress was of grey cloth, with tuscan hat, trimmed with crimson roses. That the bride and groom are popular with a large circle of friends was shown by the number of beautiful presents they received.

Nuptials of Miss Margaret Filson and Robert Ledingham.
The home of Mr and Mrs Henry Fitson, at Amherst Island, was the scene of a very pretty event on Thursday noon, when her eldest daughter, Miss Margaret Jane, was united in marriage to Robert Ledingham, farmer, of Moosejaw; Saskatchewan. The wedding march was played by Mrs Cumberland. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Freda Filson, and the groom was supported by the bride’s cousin, “Harry” Filson, both of Kingston. Both the bride and bridesmaid were becomingly gowned in white silk. A wedding breakfast followed the ceremony and subsequently the young couple left on, the steamer Aletha; for Kingston, then taking the train on a honeymoon trip to Montreal and other eastern points. Upon their return they will spend a few weeks at Amherst Island, prior to their leaving for their new home in the west. The best wishes of a host of friends will go with them. Miss Filson is very popular on the island, and will be much missed at St Paul’s church, where she was actively engaged in the various branches of church work. The members of the congregation presented her with a purse of gold, the gift being accompanied by an address, which conveyed the wishes of all the members to the bride and groom for a long and happy life. The bride was the recipient of a fine collection of gifts. Bride – Elect Entertained
Saturday evening, Nov. 21 members of the Stella United Church met at Capt. and Mrs. William Cochrane's to honor Miss May Scott, a bride – elect of this month. A social hour was spent in enjoyment of music and interesting contests, then followed the special event of the evening. On behalf of the various Church organizations with which Miss.
