Picture is of Jennie Eliza Card who was married to William Isaac Ranous. Jennie's parents are unknown to me. Jennie was born on Wolfe Island 22 Aug 1876 and died 1940.

Jennie & Will Ranous adopted my grandmother Ethel, her real parentage is also unknown. My grandmother Ethel Luella was born 7 April 1899 and died 11 October 1963 in Kingston and is buried with my dad William McFadden in the Cataraqui Cemetery.

Raymond James McFadden & his wife Ethel Luella Ranous at a family reunion in Kingston, October 1963. His whereabouts afterwards is unknown. Is now deceased.

Raymond was (according to his marriage certificate) born in Port Huron, Michigan to Raymond F. McFadden and Lillian Sands. No other record can be found of them.

L to R
William Aylward(Bill), John Eldon(Jack), and Arthur Andrew (Bud). All are now deceased.
Bill died in Ottawa where he lived his adult life. Jack lived his whole adult life in Kingston and worked as a dispatcher for Amey's Taxi. Bud lived on Wolfe Island for quite awhile until he moved with his family to Edmonton where he died. He was a mechanic.

A picture of Will and Jennie (Card) Ranous about 1895. I believe they lived their entire life on Wolfe Island. My grandmother Ethel their adopted daughter always spoke with love and admiration about them.

A note that all of the pictures so far submitted to you were given to me by Hellen Holliday in 1991 before she died. Hellen was so kind to me, she took me on a tour of Wolfe Island and its graveyards. I would like her to have credit as well if that is possible.

I don't remember where I got this picture from, I believe maybe from my father William. Taken in Kingston in fall of 1963. Ethel died shortly thereafter. This was the last time they were together.
