Holliday Family
Richard & Lydia ( nee Ranous )Holliday with children.
Richard is the son of John & Margaret ( Notter) Holliday.
It doesn't give a year but Bessie looks to be about 2 or 3. She's sitting in her fathers lap so that would be either 1903 or 1904.
Left to right is daughter Madeline on Lydias lap with Bessie on Richards lap.
This picture was on the cover of the Ottawa Branch Ontario genealogical society pamphlet.

Helen Holliday 1988
"This Picture is one I took of Helen Katherine Holliday in her Kitchen on one of my visits to her home on Wolfe Island. I believe it to be in 1988. She never married and always lived in the house owned by the Holliday family. She left the house to a nephew, Leon Fawcett and his family, He was always there to help her so the house is still in the family. Helen Katherine Holliday was born Aug.16,1916 and died June 8, 1991. She is buried in the Anglican Church Cemetery."

Daughters of Richard & Lydia Holliday
Richard Justice Holliday was one of the sons of John and Margaret (Notter) Holliday. Richard was B 6-11-1865 & D 6-1-1952 he married Lydia Ann Ranous B 1-18-1876 & D 12-22-1949.
They had 5 daughters and 1 son. All were born on Wolfe Island, raised there. Some lived there and are now buried there.
In this Picture it shows from left to right Margaret,Bessie,Helen,Madaline and Lillian. Their brother Leon was already deceased. The Picture was taken March 1,1987 at the home of Judy Adams.

Never Married.
Both Leon and Helen spent their entire life on Wolfe Island living in the Holliday family home.They are buried in the Anglican Christ Church Cemetery Wolfe Island. Lillian and Madeline are also buried there. Bessie is buried in St. Lawrence Union Cemetary,Jefferson Co. New York.
