James and Vincent Ryan

"This picture is of Reverend Monsignor James Ryan b1896 on the left and a brother Vincent J b1895 on the right. Other children are brothers Joseph A. b1889, Phillip P. b1902 and a sister Edna E. b1904.

Parents were Philip Ryan b1862 m1894 d1931 and Elizabeth Ryan (ne Leavis) b1866 m1894 d1958.

Elizabeth Ryan (ne Leavis) was from Howe Island and is my Grandmothers sister and her name was Margaret wife of Israel Garrah.

Elizabeth and Margarets parents were Elizabeth Cox/Simon Leavis. Elizabeth Cox's parents were Patrick Cox/Mary Cowan.

Simon Leavis is the son of Charles Leavis/Mary Mahoney, Co Cork, Ireland. They were married about the year 1849."
