Briceland Farmhouse

It was built in 1881 and 1898. It looks like one big house and it's together but there are two stair cases and five doors to exit or enter. Edward was the Reeve of Wolfe Island years ago and John owned the Wolfe Island Inn now the General Wolfe. We are located in the seventh concession and on lot three. The Bricelands lived here; Edward and Margaret and their two sons Frank and John. Theresa wrote :My parents in law bought it from John Briceland in 1952. Now occupied by Jack and Theresa Broeders along with 5 of their 11 children.
Theresa was told Herb Leaky built this house. He lived close by and also built his house, R. F. Fawcett's , Ben DeBuin's, John Overveld's and one on the Base Line.
Submitted by Theresa Broeders via Don Briceland-Thanks to Theresa's email containing the info above!
