Notation on back of photo-Not yet arrived yet when picture was taken Mildred.
Adeline-parents are William Potter b1832 m1868 d1911 and Harriet (nGarrah) b1848 d1934. Harriet's parents are Israel Garrah b1811Q and Agnes Gagnon b1827 Q.
Notes:Harriet b1848Q is a half sister to Israel Garrah b1871. Telesphord b1869 has an older sister Angeline b1859 married to John Garrah b1856. John is another half brother to Israel Garrah b1871.

Leavis Family
Left to right-unknown, unknown, Pat Leavis b1866 d 1941 (not married) Fanny Leavis b1861 d1953 (not married), Elizabeth b1864 m Philip Ryan b1862, unknown, Mary A. b1859 m Martin Byrne b1856, James Leavis m Helen G Dalzell b1873, unknown, Margaret Leavis b1871,m Israel Garrah b1871. Little boy in front is Jack Quinn. His Grandparents were Margaret & Israel who are mine as well.
Simon Leavis & Elizabeth (n Cox) had a family of 13 children. This photo acounts for 10 but as the photo was taken about 1938 John Leavis b1852 d1888 and Simon Leavis b1855 d1910 would not have been here.
On second thought I believe the gentleman next to my Grandmother Margaret is my Grandfather and to the left of James Leavis is his wife Helen.

Mary Frances Marshall & Peter Lappan

Born 1872, daughter of Alex Marshall & Mary Mcmahon.
Married Peter Lappan of Gananoque in 1898.
This picture was probably taken shortly after their marriage.

Lappan family

Peter Francis Lappan, his wife Mary Frances Marshall & their children, Mary Monica, Marguerite Anna ( in front ) & Peter Ambrose about 1908. Mary would have one more daughter Phyllis Maude in 1909 before dying in childbirth in 1913, along with her baby son.

Forefather of many of the Beaubien descendants of Howe Island.
