"Despite the bitter cold yesterday afternoon, a half hour of
walking around the bottom of the north channel off Howe Island
did not make skin divers any colder than reporter-photographer
Len McGlashan who snapped this picture. Here B. Monohan is shown
ready to call it a day after securing a cable on a truck that
plunged through the ice on Sunday afternoon with a load of
fishing equipment. In the background are the Driscoll brothers,
Howe Island commercial fishermen, who own the truck."
