"Margaret Foley (ne Flood) was the daughter of John and Margaret (n
Murphy) Foley. Margaret would be a sister of my Grandmother Mary A. Other sisters of Margaret were Rosemary (McKay)
Deverde (O'Connor) Mary Alice Foley (Colonel in US Army. Rosella Driscoll
(Mother of Louise Daley) was adopted and made it 5 girls in the family.
DeVerde (Living in Alexandria Bay NY provided the info and identified he
photo for me. Louise also has a copy of the photo. Hank was said to be a
neighbor. Photo was taken in the winter of 1939."

"Mary Elizabeth Leavis b1906 d 1980. He husband was Johnny Pickett b
1898 d 1979. Johnny is in the 1934 baseball pic of the Howe Island ball
team. John operated the Howe Island ferry for a number of years right where
the large ferry operates today. This ferry boat replaced the one at the
narrows operated by Mr. Cadieu. The Picketts were neighbors of ours for
years. John Picket is a brother of the priest Father Collin Pickett. Mary E
was known as Bessy by her friends and neighbors."

gentleman is unknown to me, however, it would appear he is sitting on a boat
and has a captains hat on. I would say the photo would have been around
1934-35 years."
