Mike, Wilf and Joe Garrah 1947
"Another photo (1947)that I recall like it was today. Left Brother Mike, Wilf in the middle and on the right Brother Joe. The black lab on the left is Rex and the Collie on the right was Rover. We were standing in the back of Bernie Byrnes 1929 Chevy truck. It was also a special day as it was Brother Joe's first communion day. Note the ribbon on his left arm and He's certainly wearing his finest attire. Photo location was taken on my Fathers and Mothers farm on the north shore lot 4 Howe Island. We spent many many hours playing under the oak trees in the left of the picture. The trees bring back many good memories of our playdays."

Additon:"I mentioned to Bernie about the photo in the back of his truck when we were small children and he recalled it as well. Just a little glitch he told though, not a 1929 Chev. Truck but it was his first vehicle a 1916 Model T Ford. He must have driven it only in the summer as it had not cab the driver or passengers. It was a two seater. I'll ask him with I chat the next time."

s/o Charles Isreal Garrah & Mary O'Connor ( Occupation Farmer Howe Island 10 children, Mary Bridget, Elizabeth Anne, Agnes Gertrude, Ellen Cecelia, Thomas Joseph, Charles Augustien, James Cecil, Bernard Stephen, Margaret Veronica, & Monica Agnes.)

Kate Leavis, Evelyn Garrah and Catherine Driscoll
Evelyn Garrah is daugther of Isreal Garrah and Margaret Leavis. She was b. 26 Aug, 1896. She married Bill Martin. She died July 24th 1990.

Catherine Driscoll, daugther of John Driscoll and Margaret Wiseman. She was b. 31 Jul 1884, married John George MacDonald june 9 1915 on Howe Island. Died 27 Jan 1973 on Wolfe Island.
