Status Reports

August 30, 2003 - Revised Friday Surname Haplotype Database Posted

The Friday Surname Haplotype Database, composed of the combined 1^st , 2^nd , 3^rd and 4^th Rounds of testing (62 participants) of the Friday Surname DNA Project, was published today to the web site for peer review, analysis and comment by the global Friday (how ever spelled) community.

August 30, 2003 - Important Revisions to the Friday Data

The individual data in the August 30, 2003 version of the Friday Surname Haplotype Database has been updated to reflect the revised methodology employed by the Relative Genetics laboratory in reporting their values for the DNA markers DYS454 and DYS455.  The values for these markers, for all participants, has been changed by adding +1 to each value which makes the values consistent and thus comparable to other laboratories performing the same marker evaluations.  This revision does not alter any of the previous conclusions drawn from the Friday DNA testing.
