Richard and Elizabeth Williams

Richard Williams was born in 1762 in Beale Twp., Juniata Co., Pennsylvania to James and Rebecca Williams. Richard married Elizabeth Bracken, daughter of  John and Elizabeth Bracken. She was born in 1767. Richard's occupation was that of a farmer. Richard died on November 28th, 1830 in Plainfield, Coshocton Co., Ohio. Richard was buried in Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield, Ohio. Elizabeth passed away January 10th, 1836 in Plainfield, Ohio.

Common Pleas Ct. dated Mar. 21, 1831: Executor Richard Williams, Jr.page 503, 504.
Wife, Elizabeth: one third of the half quarter of land and the house. Lane is not to be sold or disposed of until death of wife. At her death the whole of the quarter disposed of in following manner:....... 3rd to be equally divided between my five sons: James B. Williams, Richard Williams, John R. Williams, Thomas Williams and Samuel Williams......with the exception that my eldest sons, James, Richard, John and Thomas pay my youngest son Samuel Williams $80.00 proportionably out of the divided besides his equal dividend... Personal property to be sold by Executors at public sale to pay debts, funeral expenses and costs executorship to be divided between my three daughters: Rebecca, Elizabeth and Katherine as follows viz: To eldest daughter Rebecca Platt, $80 one year after my decease; to 2nd daughter, Elizabeth McClain, sum of $50 to be paid one year after my decease; to youngest daughter, Katherine Clark, sum of $50 one year after my decease. Also to wife, Elizabeth, all my bedding and one half of all the furniture. Appoint my wife, Elizabeth and son Richard to be Executors.
