Birth Announcement for Clifford ; April 15,1887 six days after his father died of dropsey. Clifford thought he was born in 1889,possibly because he could not locate birth return, photo stated 1889, see copy of announcement in the Beardstown Newspaper. First Evangelical Lutheran Records show Cliffords birthday as being April 10,1887.

Clifford went to live with Maria Geils-Nolden his grandmother,while his mother was ill.
