Most of where these links will lead you are to families that originated in Germany.On my maternal side the family was heavily German Catholics and Brethren (aka Dunkards). Both groups generally had very large families after immigrating to America. The Brethren kept, and make easily available, wonderful records.My late mother was a fine genealogist who did a lot of work on her Brethren and other kin. All of this means that I've been able to discover a wonderful heritage and a hell of a lot of relatives.
