John Williams and Mary Burris Crabtree

John Williams was born Feb. 7, 1811 in Kentucky, parents unknown. Mary "Polly" Burris was born Sep. 17, 1814 in Missouri, daughter of Walter Burris. John and Mary were married Jan. 28, 1847, Jasper county, Missouri. They had both been previously married and had children by their previous spouses. John had seven children by his previous wife Rebecca ____. Mary had seven children by her previous husband Isaac Crabtree. John and Mary together also went on to have seven children making for a large extended family. They moved to Collin county, TX in the early 1850s settleing about 8 miles northeast of McKinney. They bought land in 1852 and kept the land until their deaths. John died Dec. 13, 1888 and Mary died June 15, 1892. Both were buried in Stiff Chapel cem.   [more]
