Julius Millican Sr of
Kentucky and Tennessee

 (Last updated Sep. 25, 2017)

Husband

Julius Millican Sr was probably born in the early to mid 1770s in North Carolina.  This date is ascertained from the 1830 census that says he was 50-59 years old meaning he was born 1771-1780 and that he was more likely born in the earlier part of that range because of his oldest sons.  There is no evidence known by this writer that he was born closer to 1777 or 1778 as some family trees say.  Julius Millican's birthplace of North Carolina is taken from his son John's reply on the 1880 census.

Julius Millican was evidently married twice.  His first wife is still unknown and his second wife was Catherine (Caterina) Hart. This is contrary to many family trees on Ancestry that assert there were TWO Julius Millican's about the same age living in the same area.

Julius Millican died after 1830 probably in Anderson county, Tennessee.

1796-1795 Moses Millican was born about 1794/1795 in Tennessee.  He died after 1870 probably in Texas.  His birth year is recorded in the census as 1794, 1795 and 1803. The consistent birthplace of Tennessee maybe evidence he was born closer to 1803 given that is about when Julius Millican moved to Tennessee so he maybe a son of Julius' second wife instead. 1830 TN, Anderson co.,
