SMOOT CEMETERY

This small cemetery is located in the east-central part of Cooke County. From Hwy 82 turn north on CR 123. Located on the right side of the road. Smoot Cemetery was very overgrown until a few years ago when a young man decided to clean it up. The oldest marked grave at this time is that of infant James B. Adair, who died 10 Feb. 1860. Last surveyed 3 January 2003.
