James Stuart FAIRLY (b. 1809) with his wife, Abigail Effie FAIRLY and children moved to Texas between 1851 and 1854 from Jefferson County MS. In 1870, they are listed in the 1870 Hood County TX census. They did not move. Rather, the western side of Johnson County where they lived was formed into Hood County in 1866.

Laban Pugh with his wife, Patience Parker and at least 4 of their children came to Tyler County TX from Chickasaw County MS. Laban dies in 1864 and Patience and some of her children are found in the 1870 Cherokee County TX census.

Russell Lowery (b. 1812) with his wife and children. His daughter, Mary F(rances), in 1866 will marry Marques De Lafayette Price, son of Sterling Russell Price (b. 1804). Russell and Elizabeth can be found next in the 1870 Van Zandt County TX.
