Josephine's surname was Porter and she was a laundress living at 377 Dudley St. in Roxbury, Mass. Eugene worked as a clerk and was living at 6 Oakland Avenue in Roxbury.
Josephine was born about 1900/01, in Methuen, Essex County, Massachusetts. Her birthplace and parentage come from her marriage record in February 1951, at which time she was 50 years old, and her third marriage in June 1966, when she was 65. Her birth record couldn't be located in the Mass. vital records indexes from 1896-1905, but her family was living in Methuen when the 1900 census was taken on June 14th.
