Samuel was born 15 June 1729, in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.(494) Samuel was the son of Daniel Pierce and Ellenor Boynton. Samuel died probably before February 1781.(495) A "widow" Lucy Pierce married Aaron Bigelow on that date, but it is uncertain whether or not this applies to Samuel's widow.

She may have married second, Aaron Bigelow, 7 February 1781, in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.(496) A "widow" Lucy Pierce married Aaron Bigelow, but it is uncertain whether or not it was the same Lucy. The children listed for Aaron and Lucy may therefore not be members of the Wallingford family.

Aaron was born 29 April 1741, in Lancaster, Worcester County, Massachusetts.(497) The author of the Bigelow Genealogy says only that he was "probably" son of Jonathan and Mary. Aaron, son of Jonathan Bigelow, was baptized "att Woonkseechaukit" on 10 May 1741.(498) Aaron was the son of Jonathan Bigelow and Mary Snow. They lived in Groton, Mass.(499)
