He married Minerva I. Randall, 1 January 1873, in Berwick, York County, Maine.(3360) On their marriage record they were both said to be "of Berwick", and Minerva was called "Miss Minnie Wallingford", obviously because her mother had remarried to John Wallingford.
Minerva was born 2 August 1853. She was the daughter of Sameul Randall and Ann Wallingford. (Date of birth calculated from age on gravestone) Shackford has a puzzling note after her name that reads, "abt. 1853 after her husband's death by a colored barber - Hill." The date is presumably Minerva's birthdate, and "her husband" presumably is referring to Minerva's parents. My guess is that he meant to say that Minerva was born after Samuel Randall's death and was the daughter of the widow Ann and a black barber named Hill. One of Shackford's sources was Mrs. Laura A. Wallingford who was from another Lebanon family that wasn't closely related to this one. Perhaps it was local tradition and if so is unlikely to be verifiable now.
Minerva died 20 June 1881, in Berwick, York County, Maine.(3361) She was buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Berwick, Maine.(3362) Minerva and Andrew are distant cousins through her mother Ann Wallingford.
Andrew J. Wallingford and Minerva I. Randall had the following children:
798 i. Carrie10 Wallingford was born about 1874.(3363)
+ 799 ii. Herbert E. Wallingford was born about 1876.
