555. Mary Abbie⁸ Wallingford (Lewis⁷, Joshua⁶, John⁵, John⁴, John³, John², Nicholas¹) was born in Lebanon, York County, Maine 8 July 1843. Ancestral File for date and place, which also gives her middle name as Abigail. Chamberlain gives her middle initial as A., yet both Shackford and Charles Wallingford say it was E. It appears as E. on her marriage record. She was 7 in the 1850 census and 17 in the 1860 census of Lebanon. Her marriage record states that she was age 20 and born in Berwick to Lewis and Abby Wallingford. Mary died 8 February 1913. (Ancestral File)

She married Joseph Villaire, 30 May 1863, in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts.⁽²⁸⁸⁸⁾ Joseph and Mary were both living in Haverhill when they married. Joseph worked as a tinman at the time.

Joseph was born in June 1837, in Canada.⁽²⁸⁸⁹⁾ Joseph was the son of Edward Villaire and Elizabeth Hamel. Joseph died of hypertrophy of the prostate, 2 November 1911, at City Hospital, in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts.⁽²⁸⁹⁰⁾ He was buried in Sanford on November 3d. His name has also appeared as DeVillaire, Villers, Villiars, and Villards. The spelling used here is from "Later Families of Sanford-Springvale Maine" by Frederick R. Boyle, C.G., and from his death record. He was a tinsmith⁽²⁸⁹¹⁾ and his death record called him a mechanic.

689 i. Louis Edward⁹ Villaire was born in Lebanon, York County, Maine 4 August 1865.⁽²⁸⁹²⁾ He married twice. He married first, Isabel Allen, 21 August 1896, in Sanford, York County, Maine.⁽²⁸⁹³⁾ Isabel was born 11 January 1865, in Saco, York County, Maine.⁽²⁸⁹⁴⁾ Isabel was the daughter of Nahum P. Allen and Laura J. Tripp. Isabel died 30 June 1913, in Sanford, York County, Maine.⁽²⁸⁹⁵⁾ He married second, Margaret Grace, 4 October 1913, in Sanford, York County, Maine.⁽²⁸⁹⁶⁾ Margaret was born about 1884, in Bridgewater, N.J..⁽²⁸⁹⁷⁾ Margaret was the daughter of Edward Grace and Adelaide Rhosler. He had two children by his first wife.⁽²⁸⁹⁸⁾ He was living in Sanford when he was the informant on his father's 1911 death certificate.

690 ii. Lizettie Villaire was born in Lebanon, York County, Maine about 1874.⁽²⁸⁹⁹⁾ She married Wilbur Foltz, 28 June 1902, in Sanford, York County, Maine.⁽²⁹⁰⁰⁾ Wilbur was born about 1875, in Pottstown, Penn..⁽²⁹⁰¹⁾ Wilbur was the son of Peter Foltz and Suzanna Fair.

Lillian Josephine Villaire was born in Lebanon, York County, Maine 22 July 1875.⁽²⁹⁰²⁾ (Calculated from age at death) Lillian died 31 July 1904, in Sanford, York County, Maine.⁽²⁹⁰³⁾ She married Samuel Elliott Creasey, 20 March 1897, in Sanford, York County, Maine.⁽²⁹⁰⁴⁾ Samuel was born about 1871, in Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey.⁽²⁹⁰⁵⁾ Samuel was the son of R.E. Creasey and Hannah More.
