Josephine was born 7 December 1865, in Waterville, Kennebec County, Maine.(2881) Josephine was the daughter of William A. Caffrey and Mary White. Josephine died 15 November 1921, in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.(2882) Her cause of death was listed as "Mitral Stenosis and Regurg., Chronic Nephritis with hypertension (4 yrs.), Cerebral Hemorrhage." She was buried in Forest Hills cemetery on November 18th.

According to the History of Milford, N.H. he was a salesman and resided in Dorchester, Mass. When the 1900 census was taken a few months before he died, Horace and Josephine were living with their two children and Josephine's sister Mary W. Caffrey in Boston. Horace worked as a toy salesman. Josephine was the mother of only two children, both living.(2883) When Josephine died in 1921 she had been living at 19 Bradlee St. in Boston. Josephine was living with her mother when the 1870 census was taken in Waterville, Maine.(2884) Her father wasn't listed so may have been deceased by this point. By 1880 she and her mother had moved to Boston, Mass. where they were living with her mother's brother Fred O. White.(2885)

Horace Arthur Wallingford and Josephine Porter Caffrey had the following children:

Miriam Caffey9 Wallingford was born in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts 30 March 1890.(2886) Miriam died 24 January 1974, at the West Roxbury Nursing Home, in Roslindale, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.(2887) Cause of death was listed as of pneumonia and cerebral arteriosclerosis. Her remains were cremated at the Forest Hills Crematory in Boston on January 29th.

She may be the M. Wallingford who was the informant on her mother's death certificate in 1921. When she died in 1974 she was single and living at the West Roxbury Nursing Home at 1215 Center St. in Roslindale, a section of Boston. She was a retired secretary at the Groton School in Groton, Mass. She apparently never married.
