She married Major Andrew Goodwin, 4 October 1818, at the 2nd Church in Berwick, York County, Maine.(2135) He was from South Berwick and she was from Berwick when they got married.
Andrew was born 7 May 1784, in Berwick, York County, Maine.(2136) Andrew died 4 or 14 November 1843. Maine Families in 1790 states that he died 14 March 1832(2137) , and the Goodwin Genealogy gives a date of 14 November 1843(2138). A date of 4 November 1843 comes from a cemetery record in the Old Fields Cemetery, East Side, Old Fields Road, North of Brattle Street in South Berwick, Maine. The Major Andrew Goodwin buried there, aged 60, is immediately after the entry for Elizabeth Wallingford, wife of Andrew Goodwin.(2139) The discrepancy between 4 and 14 November is probably a typo on the part of one of the sources, but the 1832 date is a mystery. Andrew and Elizabeth were cousins. He was the son of General Ichabod Goodwin and Mary Wallingford. His mother Mary Wallingford was the sister of his wife Elizabeth's father. Mary was Andrew's second wife. For information on his first marriage see the record under his parents. In her father's 1835 will Betsey, the wife of Major Andrew Goodwin, would received $50 in one year after his death.(2140)

Sophia was born 8 September 1824, in South Berwick, York County, Maine.(2144) (Birth date on gravestone agrees.) Sophia was the daughter of Judge William Allen Hayes and Susanna Lord.
Sophia died 25 March 1905, in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut.(2145) She was buried in the Old Fields Cemetery, East Side, Old Fields Road, North of Brattle St. in South Berwick, Maine.(2146) They had one child, born in South Berwick.
