418. Rufus Needham⁷ Wallingford (Benjamin⁶, David⁵, Jonathan⁴, Nicholas³, Nicholas², Nicholas¹) was born in Dublin, Cheshire County, New Hampshire 15 March 1817.⁽²⁴⁰⁹⁾ Rufus died 10 August 1875.⁽²⁴¹⁰⁾

He married Susan Farley, 29 January 1845, in Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁽²⁴¹¹⁾ Rufus was from Milford, N.H. and Susan was from Hollis when they were married.

Susan was born 13 March 1817, in Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁽²⁴¹²⁾ Susan was the daughter of Jesse Farley and Mary Phelps. Susan died 9 December 1890, in Milford, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁽²⁴¹³⁾ According to the History of Milford he was a farmer who lived in Milford and also manufactured cider, vinegar and domestic wines.

When the 1880 census was taken his widow was living in Milford with their two sons Charles and Horace.⁽²⁴¹⁴⁾

Rufus Needham Wallingford and Susan Farley had the following children:

546 i. Eliza Ann⁸ Wallingford was born in Milford, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire 16 June 1846.⁽²⁴¹⁵⁾ Eliza died 29 August 1849, probably in Milford, N.H..⁽²⁴¹⁶⁾

+ 547 ii. Charles Rufus Wallingford was born 4 July 1849.

548 iii. Emma Frances Wallingford was born in Milford, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire 10 August 1853.⁽²⁴¹⁷⁾ She married Charles Rodney Howard, 27 November 1873, in Milford, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁽²⁴¹⁸⁾ Charles was born 14 September 1851, in Amherst, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.⁽²⁴¹⁹⁾ Charles was the son of Rodney Howard and Nancy J. Parker. Charles died 17 June 1898, in Birmingham, Conn..⁽²⁴²⁰⁾ The History of Milford, N.H. says that he was from Amherst, N.H. When the History of Milford, N.H. was written in 1901 she was living in Derby, Conn. Charles was a dry goods trader. They lived in Derby, Conn. and had no children.⁽²⁴²¹⁾
