Susan died 9 December 1890, in Milford, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.(2413) According to the History of Milford he was a farmer who lived in Milford and also manufactured cider, vinegar and domestic wines.

When the 1880 census was taken his widow was living in Milford with their two sons Charles and Horace.(2414)

When the History of Milford, N.H. was written in 1901 she was living in Derby, Conn. Charles was a dry goods trader. They lived in Derby, Conn. and had no children.(2421)
