Esther was born about 1776. She was age 75 in the 1850 census and 77 according to her 1854 newspaper death notice, which stated that she was formerly of Ontario County, New York.
Esther died 5 June? 1854, at the home of her son-in-law Gaylord Blair, in Allen's Grove, Darien, Walworth County, Wisconsin, at 77 years of age.(1836)
They lived for several years in Marshall, Michigan. The son David and daughter Mary Ann listed below may not belong here. They are placed here because their ages and residence in Marshall makes them likely candidates for being in this family. Jonathan and Esther may well have other children than those listed below. When the 1860 census was taken Jonathan was living in Darien, Wisconsin with his daughter Esther Blair and family.(1837)

(Based on age at death of 34) Mary died 19 October 1851, in Allen's Grove, Darien, Walworth County, Wisconsin.(1838) There is no proof yet that she is a daughter of Jonathan and Esther, and only her birth date and residence in Marshall is evidence of its liklihood. According to her obituary she was sa resident of Marshall, Michigan for many years, and later moved to Allen's Grove, where her sister and her husband, the Blairs, also resided. She was single, a teacher and a Presbyterian.
